dc.description.abstractIn this designed antenna, a compact monopole Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) fed for multiband applications is presented. Both Radiating patch and ground are printed on same surface of substrate Kapton-polyimide which is flexible. For impedance purpose ground is chamfered at the edges. Devised antenna is capable of working in three different wireless bands: Global Systems for Mobile Communication (GSM1900: 1.850GHz-1.990GHz), Long Term Evolution (LTE2600: 2.50GHz-2.69GHz) and Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX: 3.30GHz-3.80GHz). Antenna is further converted to reconfigurable configuration by proper placing RF PIN diodes working as ON/OFF switch so that individual resonating bands can be controlled independently. Antenna is characterized in near field, far field and spatial domain including return loss, Gain, Radiation Efficiency and 2-D Radiation Pattern making it quite suitable for above said wireless applications.en_US
