Abstract: Over the top (OTT) platforms like Netflix have always been looking for improving the content and drawing in more audience. Trailers are released on platforms like YouTube for a movie to provide a glimpse of the movie content. The proposed framework uses Convolutional neural networks to extract emotional element (Valence-Arousal) from reaction videos of people viewing the trailers. 109 movie trailers were analyzed to investigate the relationship between the content quality of the trailer and the variation in stock value of Netflix. It was noted that there is direct proportionality between the quality content with the stock price variation.
